So ran into a weird bug in Revit 2017. A lot of people are into changing their shortcuts in Revit to the way they like to run it. I had a client import in their shortcuts from Revit 2016 and wanted to change them slightly with 2017. In this case it was “Graphic Override Halftone” either for Element or Category.
When doing this and updating the shortcut from EOH for Element or even changing VOH for Category, will make Revit 2017 crash.
I have sent this into Autodesk and they are now aware of the issue so hopefully a service pack or maybe a hotfix will squash the bug at a later date…
