You go to Autodesk University and other conference for two things. First to learn things that you didn’t know before. The second is to confirm some of the process you have developed or are thinking about.
Though I learned a lot I didn’t know or understand about railings from Brian’s Handrail Hack’s class but he also seconded a process I was contemplating doing on railings. Right now Revit allows us to integrate a handrail into our Guardrails. In the last couple of years when I’ve had a multi-story building I have had issues with the handrails on stairs. most of the problems I end up having seem to do with the fact that the handrail was integrated into the guardrail system. So how do I correct this issue, really? Brian’s presentation confirmed to me that the handrail really should be modeled separately from that of the guardrail.
