Too often it’s seen as only a technology role.
Architects, designers, and engineers who are good with software tend to gravitate to the role. Or, more likely, they’re given those responsibilities because they demonstrate a knack for the tools.
This was true in my case. I was always the guy who could figure things out and answer questions.
But it’s short sited to see the BIM manager only through the lens of technology.
