Transoft Solutions Inc. have announced the acquisition of the UK-based Signing and Lining software company Design Pro Software.
Transoft, who have been developing transport BIM/CAD solutions for 25 years (and are headquartered in Vancouver), already have a wide range of transport design solutions, such as vehicle turn simulation, road and intersection design packages, traffic simulation and software specialising in airport traffic design. Now, with the acquisition of Design Pro, Transoft has added road sign and marking capabilities to their portfolio.

“Transoft Solutions (UK) office will see growth as we continue to develop products for the local, Middle East and European regions while, at the same time, integrating BIM and 3D technologies into Transoft’s current products” said Milton Carrasco, CEO and President of Transoft Solutions. “Our software support in the UK will be even further enhanced by this acquisition.”
Currently, the Design Pro solution enables users to design signs and lines in a 2D domain, before converting them into 3D models for integration into a BIM environment. Once placed into the BIM environment, the new 3D signs contain BIM and asset data which can be viewed in a separate panel within the user’s BIM software (usually AutoCAD or Navisworks).
