This week I thought I’d share with you the recent research by McKinsey into construction technology start ups. If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s well worth a read (you do have to get past the fact that they actually referred to “blueprints” – trust me it gets better). Interestingly while our historic focus at BILT has been the design phase of technology, out there in the world of start ups, it’s clear that a lot of people are realising construction is the main game – with the most obvious and largest potential benefits from new processes or technologies. McKinsey identified 200 design phase start ups and over 1000 construction phase start ups!
