It’s Friday, so let’s talk about something besides Autodesk technology. According to my Fitbit, on February 12, 2018, I weighed 204.5 pounds. Aw-oh. For all of my adult life, the first number of my weight started with a 1 instead of a 2.
I am on the board of the Boys and Girls Club of Alameda. On March 3, the club had its annual gala fundraiser at the Hilton Hotel over by the Oakland Airport. Since my wife and I were helping set up the festivities in the morning and attending the gala in the evening, we booked a room at the Hilton for the day and night to avoid having to make multiple trips back and forth to Alameda. The gala setup went smoothly. After relaxing in the hotel room in the afternoon, it was time to get ready. I was putting on my tuxedo (which I had not worn for about a year), and the pants didn’t seem right. I had two hooks but only one eye.
