Next Friday, I will begin 6 weeks off for the 4th time in 20 years at Autodesk. This is one of the best benefits of working for Autodesk. The 6 weeks provides enough time you can truly disconnect, recharge, and come back with a renewed energy and focus.
I don’t have a big elaborate travel schedule, I am doing what I did last sabbatical and that was free forming it by going camping, hiking, road trips, seeing friends and family and working on my house. It allows me the greatest flexibility and I’m able to say “yes” when friends contact me about a hike or trip. I was also asked at lunch today to consider teaching UAV/UAS/drone classes at OMSI this summer to teenagers – Ummmm YES.
I will be blogging some, posts during the sabbatical but my fun and relaxation comes first.
