Just a quick post on the amazing colors in Portland Oregon currently with the sudden onset of Autumn. Yesterday I went to the Hoyt Arboretum especially my favorite of the Maple Loop and then hiked the Wildwood trail to Portland’s prized treasure the Portland Japanese Garden. It was amazing walk with the beauty of Washington park and the park changing colors for fall.
If you are in Portland or visit you should definitely do regardless of time of the year visit the Hoyt Arboretum as well as the Japanese Garden – especially in fall as the crowds are well worth dealing with and you can still find many Zen locations without people to enjoy the experience.
Some photos from my phone.

Upon walking up you are greeted with the newest building and courtyard by famed Japanese architect Kengo Kuma.

Enjoy Autumn for it will be gone soon.
