Yes, today is Revit’s birthday! The software we all love (and sometimes hate, let’s be honest) is twenty-two years old today. This day back in 1997, Revit was born when founders Leonid Raiz and Irwin Jungreis incorporated Charles River Software. The company was renamed as the Revit Technology Corporation in 2000, and the first version of the software was released on April 5 of that year. I actually have a copy of that first version here in my office. Autodesk acquired Revit in 2002 and the rest, as they say, is history.
So treat your Revit extra nice today and maybe take it out later tonight to celebrate. But don’t overdo it. You don’t want Revit throwing up these all day tomorrow. Alright, time to get to work. Here are five things to check out this week:
