I have used the screen capture software Snagit from Techsmith for over 20 years, on an almost daily basis. It makes it easy to get a image or quick video for documentation, presentations, Slack, email, and this blog. I do not get free product and do buy my own subscription as it is not expensive and vital for me. It was a pleasure that yesterday Snagit product manager Daniel Foster who was visiting Portland for a conference dropped by the Autodesk Portland office.
I gave Daniel a tour of our office and then we talked with employees who were also Snagit fans on tips for features in Snagit some of which I didn’t even know existed like the text capture text and replace in your image or the templates and favorite styles. He also had some Detroit peanut brittle to share with us since it was Halloween.
I will have some Snagit and Camtasia licenses to give away at the Blogger and Social Media Meetup at Autodesk University thanks to Techsmith!
