I joined Autodesk, January 19, 1998 expecting to be here perhaps a couple years improving the products I used as a customer and then get back to designing large steel process equipment and other large design and fabrication projects. I was even highlighted as an AutoCAD R14 customer on the demo CD-ROM.
I am still here at Autodesk, still feeling I am making a difference in the products and for the customers which I was once one. My daughter knows her dad as only working for any company but “Doggydesk” she called it doggydesk because as a toddler she came to the office and seen all the employees dogs in the offices and proudly told people “my dad works for doggydesk!”. In fact, my daughter was being born, while I was in the labor room on a AutoCAD release meeting call with my laptop. Here is a life balance tip, don’t do that.
