1- Revit Add-Ins Managers
DiRoots released a free plugin manager a couple of years ago, which you can download right here.
This allows you to activate/deactivate Revit plugins easily without uninstalling them. Too many plugins can make Revit slow, so it’s good to deactivate those you don’t need.
Autodesk now released its own version called the “Add-Ins Manager.” You will find the tool in the Manage tab.
You can easily see the full list of plugins, along with the vendor. However, an exciting feature that DiRoots doesn’t have is load time. For example, we can see that pyRevit takes an extra 10.9 seconds to load when you open Revit. Activate and deactivate the checkboxes to
However, this doesn’t allow you to pre-create “profiles” with different kinds of add-ins enabled, like in the DiRoots version.
If you don’t have Revit 2025.3, DiRoots is still a great alternative.
