Autodesk Sketchbook

At Autodesk University 2016 I went to a presentation, which I blogged about called Redefining Architectural sketching. One of the things Mike said in his presentation was that Autodesk Sketchbook was one of the most underutilized tools Architects have available to them., which I totally agree with. One of the things I find the most curious about that though after talking to some Autodesk people is that they have actually sold more licenses of that than most of their other programs. It’s probably because of the price.

Sketchbook is what the title implies a sketching program. It has many different pens and colors can be adjusted much like the brush strokes in Adobe Photoshop. Like Photoshop you can add additional
layers that you sketch over much like tracing over different layers of trace paper. Autodesk may own the product, but it is like it’s own thing. It has a blog that has some tutorials, for every one to use use. One of the difference betwenn the mobile app and the desktop…
