Former Autodesk Research Employee Jos Stam was awarded an Academy Award by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for 3D subdivision surfaces among other technical giants such as Edwin Catmul of Disney / Pixar and brothers Thomas Knoll and John Knoll of ILM and co-creator of Adobe Photoshop. Jos is now a researcher at NVidia.
