The presentation briefly introduces the BIMe Initiative (https://BIMexcellence.org), its knowledge structures, interconnected projects, community of volunteer researchers. It then briefly touches upon how community-based research activities can contribute towards meeting digital transformation challenges. It also invites like-minded researchers to consider joining the BIMe Initiative – or creating similar initiatives – and contributing towards the development of open-access knowledge-sharing tools and methods.
