One of the earliest Revit Add-in’s I’ve ever used has been E-Transmit. I say add-in because it still shows up on the Add-In tab, even though it installs with all current versions of Revit it was initially something you had in to install separately.
For years I’ve just used it to gather all the files of the project to be able to cleanly send my model to the other designers(engineers) of the project or the client in some cases. Another function I’ve used E-transmit for is to move the Revit model to a different location on the my network. E-transmitting a Revit model cleans up the network paths so the original location isn’t called out. This was always useful when archiving the model.
Besides for gathering all of the files that are linked into the model it can cleanup the model and upgrade the model.
